Richard and Margaret Webster wanted their last house to be perfect – a beautiful home overlooking the hills of Alexandra that soaks up the warmth of the sun.

Now retired, the Websters were looking for a home that was a good size for the two of them but which also accommodated visits from their children and grandchildren.

After discovering the couple across the street had built with Cavalier Homes Goulburn Valley, the Websters decided to look into what they could offer.

“We had a look around and liked the way Cavalier operated, so we made the decision,” Margaret said.

“We told Scott when we first started that we’d had some issues with other builders in the past and we hoped that it would go smoothly – and it did.”

The 29.73sq home was built on an acre-and-a-quarter block in Alexandra and features three bedrooms and an open-plan kitchen, meals and living area.

It also boasts a corner window in the master bedroom and large windows in the living area with a spectacular view of the hills, a pine-lined feature wall and a 1.6m full-height brick wall that will be home to a wood fire.

Richard said the couple had already drawn up a plan of what they wanted, and Cavalier Homes tweaked it to make it a reality.

Margaret said Cavalier’s customer service has been outstanding.

“The interactions we had with Courtney and Scott were wonderful – if we ever needed anything we just had to ask and they got us the answer,” she said.

“It was the quickest build we’ve ever had. You’ll never have the perfect build but it was important that Cavalier were always available for us, and if we had a problem there was always someone to speak to.”
