We first met Cavalier representatives when we visited the display home in Mount Pleasant Estate.  Negotiations from the start centred around the ideal block size and house size to match.  The company was on the verge of selling a house and land package.  We originally liked features of the Cambridge 30, but in subsequent consultations, kept making changes that inevitably meant we ended up just short of a custom design home.  Fortunately for us, the ease of making these changes with computer technology, meant these costs weren’t added to the build.

Cavalier Homes new home consultant promoted double glazing to maximise our energy rating and a transfer kit was installed to supplement the heat pump.
The standard electric hot plate was swapped for a gas hotplate and we also took advantage of TasGas promotions by installing two extra external points on the deck.  Our hot water is also gas which means we don’t have an unsightly hot water unit.
Finishing personnel were fantastic and maintained a constant stream of communication to ensure all fit-out was as I hoped eg tile alignments, wardrobes, and other fixtures.   The electricians helpfully installed any coverings we had pre-purchased and promoted wiring for future technologies.
During the design stage, a 3D walk-through computer program was developed which helped to visualise what the final outcome may look like.
The build was completed with approximately one month to spare.
The site foreman paid particular attention to our driveway and path concreting requirements to ensure ease of access to the triple garage.
Thanks again Cavalier,
Rob and Caroline
