We recently built with Jamie and Melissa at Cavalier Homes from Orange, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the initial design phase to the final product, they made the entire building process a pleasure. The team was incredibly approachable and always available, going above and beyond to meet our needs. They offered thoughtful advice on everything from products to colours and designs, making the journey smooth and enjoyable. The tradies were just as professional and easy to work with, showing genuine pride in their work, and every detail was handled with care. It felt like they treated our home as if it were their own, and by the end, we truly considered them friends. If we ever decide to build again, there’s no one else we would trust. Jamie and Melissa take care of every aspect, including drawing up plans and managing DA approvals, so you can relax and enjoy the process. I live in Sydney and wanted a builder who would build and supervise the build and manage the trades using a fixed contract. After losing our family home of 18 years to the devastating floods of Eugowra in November 2022 we were left with the arduous task of having to build a new house. We had a limited budget and a cost effective design in mind. After speaking with quite a lot of builders nobody really wanted to build our house either because of its simplicity or they just weren’t interested in building a house for our budget but what ever it was we were left without a home and the scary thought that we might not ever be able to live in our own home ever again. Then I saw a house in a nearby village that was being built by Cavalier homes. It was different to all the new houses and my wife and I liked its design so I decided to go and se them and give it one last shot. I walked through the door and was greeted with the most welcoming of smiles from Mel, which after everything we had been through, with the previous 17 builders was a relief in itself. She introduced us to Jamie and we got to talking about what had happened to us and what we were trying to do on our limited budget. He was just as easy and comfortable to deal with as Mel to which I later found out was his wife and that Cavalier homes in Orange was a family run business which I really liked. I left Jamie with our design in hope that he might be the one to come to our rescue. Later that same day I had Jamie contact me in regards to our design and wanting me to come back the next day to go over a few things with me . I did and we chatted about a few things that we could change to better use our space and be more cost effective. After going over the new drawings, which Jamie drew up in a very shot amount of time, we came to an agreement on a design that was partly ours and partly Jamie’s that was within our budget. We signed on the dotted line and were very happy that we had not only found ourselves a builder but as time went on, found ourselves a life long friendship. We found Jamie, Mel and the rest of the team at Cavalier Homes very easy to deal with and always there to talk to us even late at night and on weekends. I expect quality and quality is what we got with a no fuss build, in a very timely manner and on budget. We couldn’t be happier with the home that Cavalier Homes has built for us and couldn’t give them a higher recommendation than to say. If we ever were going to build another house Cavalier Homes would be our first and only phone call. Thank you Jamie, Mel and the rest of the team for building our new family home. We love it and can’t wait to build new memories in it.
